Supertramp – Crime of the Century
A couple of months ago, I picked up some locally made Blood Orange liqueur – Fabrizia – and have been working with it to make some new cocktails ever since. After a couple several many failures, I came up with this one which was rapidly consumed by a small crowd of guests one night.
There is a lot going on in this drink, but the flavors blend nicely to create a unique taste. It’s also easy to make if you have the ingredients. Blood orange liqueur has gotten popular this year with Solerno becoming widely available. Note that Solerno is a bit heavier than Fabrizia, so you may need to adjust accordingly.
Pour all ingredients into a shaker, add ice, then shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of lime.
-
1-1/2 oz Rye (I used Whistlepig)
-
1/2 oz Ginger Liqueur (I used Canton)
-
3/4 oz Blood Orange Liqueur (I used Fabrizia)
-
1/4 oz fresh squeezed lime
-
4 dashes orange bitters (I used Regan’s)
-
Lime slice for garnish

Hi Will, thank you for the Fabrizia love way back when! We love your site and we’d love to send you all of our products (a couple that might be new to you!) to use in your future mixology creations. When you have a minute, shoot me an email and we can discuss further! Cheers 🙂
