Recently, the entire Consumatorium staff went on a field trip to the Hemingway Bar in Prague, Czech Republic.
Not only is the Hemingway Bar a fabulous craft bar, but they specialize in their namesake’s favorite drinks – absinthe, rum and champagne. Specialize somehow doesn’t do it justice, though. Their cocktail menu includes three pages of absinthe choices alone. You can find their full and sorta unreal cocktail menu here.
Dave had a Lavender Martini, which he loved.
Will had a Sazerac and a Corpse Reviver 2. Both Excellent. The bartender proposed a combo with half cognac and half rye in the Sazerac instead of 100% of one or the other. Superb.
The Hemingway Bar is highly recommended if you find yourself behind the ol’ Iron Curtain or, if you’re really into mixology, it’s pretty much worth the trip by itself.
