Well, I thought I had been making the classic Martinez recipe, but it turns out I had the gin and vermouth quantities mostly reversed, ending up with something more like an augmented Martini (recall that the original Martini used sweet vermouth). Turns out to be a pretty nice cocktail, whatever it’s called.
- 2 oz Plymouth gin
- 3/4 oz sweet vermouth
- 1/4 oz maraschino liqueur
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- twist of lemon
